Exhibition at The Art Center in Corvallis, Oregon

This and that, here and there, in and out, and you and I: every apparent opposition indicates a continuum, a passing back and forth. Each bright between is a passage, an interval of light that is the true substance of our lives.

The works in this show are the residue of that passing. Each comes out of intervals of observation, where the shapes, textures, and lines of growth and movement of the sensate world come forward. These discoveries prompt sessions of gesture, paper, pigment, and wax.
